FakeSMS sends you an short email based on a http query string.
I made this while learning Google's App Engine. (Source code on GitHub). I use it when I have a long running batch job that I don't want to babysit. By tacking on an http request to the end of the job, I can add notifications very simply.
Signup and account creation is as easy as logging in with your Google Account.
